The Actor/Actress Headshot Process

Step 1: Private no-cost Consultation

Every session begins with a complimentary one-on-one consultation. This is where we define your casting goals and clarify how your headshots need to function in today’s industry.

 

We’ll discuss:

  • The roles and character types you’re targeting

  • The casting markets you’re submitting to (theatrical, commercial, co-star, series regular, etc.)

  • How many looks make sense for your current stage and representation

  • Wardrobe choices that photograph cleanly and read honestly on camera

  • How to prepare so you arrive confident and camera-ready

 

This planning ensures your session is intentional, efficient, and tailored specifically to you and not a template.​​

Step 2: Secure your Session

Once your session is designed, the studio will be reserved just for you and I'll send a confirmation email.  Your session is not booked until you receive this confirmation from me.

Step 3: The Headshot Session

Your session is calm, focused, and unrushed. I guide you throughout by refining posture, expression, and subtle details that elevate your headshot from good to undeniable.

We'll work through each look with care, adjusting as needed until we capture images that feel truthful and competitive.

 

Afterward, we review the images together, narrowing down the strongest selections for professional retouching and purchase. Or, at your request, I'll prepare a proof gallery specifically for your agent and manager to review.

Step 4: Image Selection and Purchase

You'll have the opportunity to review each full-resolution image at the studio.  You can make your selections immediately or I can send you a proof gallery to share with your agent, manager, and team.  Once the selections have been made, you'll pay for your images (Collection or A-La-Carte) and I'll start the retouching process.

Step 5: Final Delivery
 

Once I receive your full balance, your selected retouched images will be sent directly to you in a private, personalized online gallery (usually within 24 hours).  

 

Your gallery allows you to:

  • Download high-resolution images for casting and marketing platforms

  • Share the gallery link directly with agents and managers.
